Your free ISP will almost certainly provide you with free web space - in some cases 25MB or even more, which is far in excess of what most of us ever need. The only limitation is that you need to be connected to them to upload, but as it's free that is no great hardship.

Other companies also offer free hosting but be aware that their free packages may be laced with popup ads, banners and other less than desirable features. Our recommendation is to use your free ISPs web space and only venture further if you really feel the need.

The majority of the free Web Hosting companies are located in the USA - this is not really a problem as the bandwidth is far cheaper over there and speeds may be even faster than hosting in the UK. The downside is that the ads and banners used to generate revenue for the free Web Host will almost certainly be for US companies which can be rather annoying.

Our recommendation is to start building your site using the free services and if it becomes successful then you can upgrade to a subscription package to remove the unwanted ads and banners.
